The tools run in your browser and send nothing

Every calculator on this site computes locally. The room dimensions, the wall runs, the slab sizes, the joist depth, the panel details, the bid totals, the home value — none of it is transmitted, none of it is stored on a server, and none of it reaches us.

The practical consequence is that we genuinely cannot see what you typed. If you write to us about a result, the inputs have to come with the message, because there is no record of them on our side.

None of your entries are kept in browser storage or in a cookie. Reload a page and its tool comes back holding the published example, not the kitchen you just described.

What is collected

There is no account to make and none is on offer here. Nothing on this site logs you in, signs you up, or submits a form to a server.

Ordinary web server logs are produced when a page is requested, as they are for any site: the requested address, a timestamp, a referring page where one exists, and a user-agent string. They keep the site running and show which pages are read.

An email sent to us is kept in order to answer it. It is not added to any list.

Cookies, analytics and third-party code

This build sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics, loads no tag manager and serves no advertising code. An opt-out would have nothing to switch off, which is why none is offered.

Not one script from another company runs here. The stylesheet and the small calculator bundle come from this domain, and the pages embed no outside fonts, maps, videos or widgets at all.

No advertising code runs on this site today. If this site is approved for Google AdSense, Google AdSense will serve advertisements on it, and this policy's advertising section will be updated in the same deploy that adds any advertising code.

If Google AdSense is approved and enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other sites where consent permits personalization.

Visitors can control personalized Google advertising at https://adssettings.google.com and can review industry opt-out choices at https://www.aboutads.info. Those Google-operated controls exist independently of this site and work whether or not this site shows ads.

Advertising

Nothing on this site is an advertisement today. No page in this build loads an advertising tag, an ad network library, or a consent-management platform.

If advertising is ever introduced, the code and this section will change in the same deployment. This section will describe what is genuinely running — which partner, what data that involves, and which choices are available — before any advertising script is served to anybody. It will never describe advertising that is not live, and it will never omit advertising that is.

Pages link to the sources behind the figures, mostly federal statistical agencies, so quotes can be checked against the original. Following one takes you to a site with its own policy that we neither control nor can see into.

No outbound link on this site earns anything and we take part in no affiliate programme.

Children

This is a tool for planning building work. It is not directed at children and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Changes

A revised policy is published here and the review date at the foot of every page moves with it. Material changes to what runs on a page are made in the same deployment as the change, never announced in advance and never added afterwards.

Anything unclear in this policy can be raised at the address listed on our contact page, and it will be answered by a person.
